Haruhi Movie 150 Minutes Long

The official Haruhi website has revealed some interesting information about the upcoming Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya Movie. First off it confirmed an earlier report that said the film will be debuting in Japanese theaters on February 6, 2010. It was originally slated to come out sometime in the Spring, but actually getting an earlier than expected date after having to wait three years for season 2 is a change no one will be complaining about.

Secondly, it was also revealed that the movie will be a whopping 150 minutes long. That's two & a half hours, practically unheard of for an anime movie, or any animated movie in general. Devoting such an extended period of time to the film truly shows that Kadokawa is trying to make it up to the fans for wasting 8 episodes in the second season by having the movie be about 8 episodes long in length. This should prove to be majorly awesome, & I can't wait till we get the chance to see it as well.

And you believed them?
From TVTropes:

------

How to use Tsundere Marketing:

1: Be as abusive towards your core clientele as you can. Engage in deceptive advertising- not the sleazy kind that makes them think your product is great when it isn't, but rather irrationally make them think your product is crappier than it is. Maybe run a Non Indicative First Episode that makes your product look worse than it is instead of better.

2: Promise a exiting new version/season and then keep delaying it's release. Then announce that it's been canceled, but spread rumors that the cancellation is just a promotional gimmick.

3: Release rumors that a new long awaited version/season is finally coming out, only to then explain it's actual just a re-release of the old product with new packaging. Then include new content without telling anyone.

4: Then reveal that the new content actually isn't what you had been promising for several years, but consists of something superficial like extra color variations allowing for shallow aesthetic changes.

5: Then reveal that this was all really a promotion for the new version/season that you promised in the first place.

By keeping your customers completely confused and shellshocked with the shift between giving them their dreams and then crushing those dreams before their eyes, Stockholm Syndrome will soon set in and they will become your mindless minions. Unable to resist buying whatever merchandise you set before them.
