Code Geass to Air Online

While we've known for awhile now that Code Geass would be coming to Adult Swim on April 26, Bandai has finally confirmed the date by releasing a press release. So that really isn't new news, but what is new is that they also announced that Adult Swim will be airing the episodes online at their website a day before the episodes come out on TV, similar to what they've been doing with Death Note & a few other series before it. DVDs for the series were also announced to come out later this year, perhaps after the first season has already completed its televised run.

I'm actually quite surprised that Adult Swim decided to put it online. Considering that their latest actions seem to suggest they no longer care about anime, I thought that they wouldn't bother putting any more of it online once Death Note came to an end. Or perhaps maybe this was part of an agreement made in the beginning (before they banished anime) that they can't get out of now. Either way, at least this is some good news for [AS] anime fans.

I've never gotten the idea that Adult Swim doesn't like Anime. Its just that its less profitable now. As we know there are many sites that let you see shows online now. Because of online viewing, the amount of people who will watch the show has gone down.

Secondly the reason why its on late at night instead shows that they would like to encourage DVD sales to make a profit. If they are to show anything on saturday night at the earliest time why make it reruns of a show? They just use it to keep you interested in a show but not leaching off of adult swim for it. Seriously, whens the last time someone bought a samurai champuu dvd.

I'm not insulting you Nebs or blaming you. I'm just saying what it seems like in my eyes. I personaly would buy more DVD's if I could only see shows on DVD.

That sounds right but still. If they'd give a real answer to why they do what they do, I'd stop saying things.
