I thought I'd provide some insight into what new Fall anime series I'm interested in watching this year. Obviously there's too many series to see them all, at least at once anyway. So if you don't know what series to download this autumn, let me help you by listing the series I'll be watching & give some info on them.
Toradora!:

It's Rie Kugimiya playing a tsundere! With the tsundere queen herself on board for this series (Shana in Shakugan no Shana, Louise in Familiar of Zero, Nagi in Hayate), I've been looking forward to this title for awhile. But more than just that aspect, this series has been getting a lot of buzz over the past few months from even those without a tsundere fetish. The books & manga its based off are quite good, & some say it has the potential to be the next Haruhi Suzumiya. Kugimiya plays the lead female Taiga, who happens to have a crush on the best friend of the lead male Ryuji. Not only that, but Ryuji has a crush on Taiga's best friend. So they decide to help each other out & work together. But along the way, some new feelings may rise from this unusual friendship. A romantic comedy after my own heart.
Akane Iro ni Somaru Saka:

It's Rie Kugimiya playing a tsundere! Yes, AGAIN! She's doing two of them this season, & in this one she has Aya Hirano (Haruhi in Haruhi, Konata in Lucky Star, Misa in Death Note) as her co-star. In 2008, an anime series can't any bigger than having those two hugely popular names attached to them. It's not just them though, as the entire cast is full of some of the biggest names in Japanese voice actors today. I'm not gonna list them all, but it's really worth looking up on your own time. Based on a ero game, the story revolves around a guy & a girl (Kugimiya) who are engaged to be married but hate each other. Doesn't sound like much, I know, but this is slated to be one of the biggest shows of the year. Personally I can't wait.
CLANNAD AFTER STORY:

It's Rie Kugimiya playing a tsundere! No I'm just messing with ya. "After Story" is the sequel season to last Spring's "Clannad" anime series by the famed Kyoto Animation (& a sister series to AIR & Kanon). After Story covers the second half of the Clannad video game from Key that the series is based off of, & focuses on Tomoyo & Nagisa's relationship now that they're together (whereas the first season had him choosing between several girls). I don't really recommend watching this if you haven't seen the first Clannad series yet, but for those who have this should be a no-brainer. AIR & Kanon fans should really be interested in this franchise.
Jigoku Shoujo (Hell Girl) Mitsuganae:

Hell Girl is back for a third series, what more needs to be said? I know that Hell Girl isn't for everybody due to its episodic nature. But I feel that sometimes episodic series can really work if they're done right. Cowboy Bebop was largely episodic & is considered one of the greatest series of all time. Likewise I really enjoy Detective Conan, & you can't get more episodic than that. & how about the classic Lupin III anime series? However sometimes being episodic can get annoying if you're wanting a real, actual plot, & can cause the downfall of a series (Pokemon, InuYasha, Naruto filler). But for me, Hell Girl works. I know I can just sit down for a fun & entertaining half-hour, & when it's over I don't have to worry about remembering what happened or not. Just enjoy the moment as is. Your mileage may vary, but for me, I enjoy my Hell Girl.
Kemeko-DX:

In truth what attracts me most to this series is the character designs & animation. Enough so that I at least want to check the series out. But the story seems interesting as well. A fat, short, & ugly robot comes into a teenage boy's room at night & claims the two are to be wed. As it turns out though, a beautiful girl (who attracted me to this series) presides inside the robot, & says 10 years ago he promised that they'd get engaged. The series looks to be filled with tons of action & fan-service, so it's win win! Also, Rie Kugimiya!! She's so hugely popular right now that she's in like almost every series out there. Though this time she's not playing a lead role, & I'm not sure if her character is a tsundere or not.
Macademi WAsshoi!:

As if I haven't been hyping this series enough. When I first heard about this series late last year, something instantly drew me to it. I liked the early preview character designs, & hearing it was based on books by the "Scrapped Princess" author was good news for me. But when we finally started seeing real animation for this series, I got completely sucked in. Yeah, I'm a sucker for fan-service, especially when the art & animation looks as good as this series does. & from the latest trailers, we can see how naughty this series can get. Don't know if any of the TV stations in Japan will be showing it unedited, or if we have to wait for the DVDs for that. As for the plot, it involves a boy atHogwarts a magic school who accidentally summons a girl that is incredibly powerful, very immature, & super hot. Now to watch over her & make sure she doesn't destroy the world, she moves in with him. I seriously can't wait. XD
Kyou no 5 no 2 (Today in Class 5-2):

To be honest I don't know if I'm gonna stick with this one, but I'm at least gonna check it out. I enjoyed the original "Today in Class 5-2" OVA series that we had up on NebsTV awhile back, but this series looks to be a big departure. I'm not fond of the art style from what I've seen, & it's very different from the OVA. Actually the entire crew AND voice actors are different. But if it still manages to maintain the charm of the OVA, I'll stick with it.
Vampire Knight Guilty:

A continuation of the first Vampire Knight shoujo series from this past Spring. Again, if you'll probably want to watch the first series first if you haven't yet. I've read some of the manga, & while I don't think the anime is quite as good, I did enjoy the first season. Yuuki continues to search about her past, & some mysteries will finally be explained.
CHAOS;HEAD:

Another case of the artwork & character design pulling me in more than anything else. I'll be judging this series by the first ep, so if it doesn't pull me in enough, I'll likely drop it. A lot of murder, mystery, blood, &darkness in this series supposedly. All sounds interesting, but since I really don't know what to expect, we'll see.
Nodame Cantabile Paris:

God how I love me some Nodame Cantabile. It's one of those series that people are surprised I like. Same with Ouran Host Club. But I really, really enjoyed the first season when it aired awhile back. Not much out there like it. You know, that just makes you feel all warm & good just by watching it? Anyway, it has Nodame & Chiaki- now in Europe! If you haven't checked out the first series yet, I highly recommend it.
HONORABLE MENTIONS-
Gundam 00 Second Season:

I saw the first few episodes of Gundam 00 season last year, & really liked what I saw. But when I heard that the series would be airing on American TV on Sci-Fi later this year, I dropped the series & didn't finish it in order to support the American broadcast (I did the same thing with fansubs of Naruto & Bleach a long time ago as well). So by not having Gundam 00 above isn't to say I'm not excited about it, because I really am. I'm just gonna wait to see it on American TV is all.
Rosario + Vampire CAPU2:

The second season of Rosario+Vampire. I have yet to finish the first season, which is why CAPU2 isn't on my schedule yet. I do plan on finishing season 1 eventually & move on to season 2, but I dunno how long that's gonna be. In truth my reaction to RosaVam so far is "ehh, it's all right." Nothing really knocks it out of the park for me. Not to mention the censorship is really annoying in this series as well. Do we really need to cover up panties now? But still, the series isn't bad either. I just haven't all that eager to finish it yet. The promise of a new, anime exclusive character in this season sounds promising, though. Oh, & did I mention that Rie Kugimiya's in it? =b Though here she plays the very calm & soft Mizore. Quite different from her tsundere norm.
