K-On's darling loli character Azusa seems to be quite popular among erotic game makers. Last month I reported on a look-alike character appearing in an ERO game with an absurd title. & now another clone of the character has appeared in a different kind of pervy game. & this time she looks more like the real Azunyan than ever before.

This one is actually a mobile phone game that Japanese users can download to their cells. The game itself is actually a chikan (groping) simulator. If you don't already know, groping (especially of school-aged girls) is a serious problem on crowded Japanese trains. So much so that many lines offer female-only carts. It's hard to say though if having video game versions help reduce the amount of real occurrences or if they encourage them. But it's not like you'll run into someone like Azunyan on a train in real life anyway, so it's kinda hard to resist.

The cellphone game offers three different choices- Breasts, Bottom, & Threaten. No idea what that last one does. However, upon completion of the game, the user is taken to a porn site that has nothing to do with 2D girls. An odd bait-and-switch, it seems.

I mentioned a little while back how JAST has started to roll out their high profile A-list hentai games. Now let's take a look at the other major American player in the game, who's also starting to (finally) bring the big names in ero games to our shores- MangaGamer. Back at Anime Expo this past summer, MangaGamer announced a number of big adult game titles like Higurashi & Shuffle, with the promise of more popular NAVAL games on the way. They also said they'd get the first four parts of Higurashi out in time for Halloween, but that holiday came & went without a single one coming out. But don't fret too much, because the MG has updated their release schedule with what to expect & when. The first four chapters will now be out on December 15, with the rest coming out in February.

But the real big news about the release schedule is that several new high profile titles were announced as well. Most notable perhaps is an official American release of the first Koihime Musou ero game, which is tentatively slated for February. This is of course the basis for the popular Koihime fan-service anime series, which currently streams on Crunchyroll. So imagine the all the fan-service & yuri-ness in that, taken to the next level. With both large oppai & petit lolis, it's a game likely to please everyone. Not only Koihime, but MangaGamer also announced the official license of DC ~Da Capo~. Da Capo, while not too well known in the US, is hugely popular in Japan & is about as big as any non-Key game can get. The first one is expected to come out here in June, with DCII only a month later. & finally, MG is talking about releasing an all-ages version of Higurashi WEBSITE for Higurashi. So now everyone will be able to play a game filled with yanderes that want to love/kill you.

Fans of "Samurai Champloo" might recall an early episode where we learn that the historic artist Vincent Van Gogh was inspired by Japanese Ukiyo-e art. Now it turns out that he wasn't the only world renowned painter to be inspired by art from Japan- Pablo Picasso was as well. Only the art that inspired Picasso was a little more... revealing. That's right, Picasso was a hentai fan.

An art exhibition in Barcelona is showcasing the works that inspired Picasso to become the infamous painter he was. It turns out the man had quite a few Japanese prints in his personal collection. 19 erotic works, to be exact. The most notable of his private collection is the world famous Hokusai Katsushika piece "Dream of the Fisherman's Wife," otherwise known as the first ever tentacle hentai drawing. Picasso loved the piece so much that he painted his own version of it in 1903.

I never really got into DC ~Da Capo~, but it does play an important part in anime history for being one of the first moe series out there. The first series debuted back in 2003, back when moe wasn't as common as it is now. Then came DCSS ~Da Capo Second Season~. & then there was DCII ~Da Capo II~. & then DCIISS ~Da Capo II Second Season~. Yeah. There's also been OVAs too. Needless to say, there's never been a prolonged period of time with no DC. & now the time has come again.

Ero-ge company Circus has revealed their plans DCIII ~Da Capo III~. Like the first two DC one & two, Da Capo started out as adult visual novels. Just like the Key series & many others, these hentai games were made into non-adult anime series. But not only is a DCIII game in the works, they're already talking about an anime series (probably two anime series again) & beyond. Check out all of what Circus has in store:

Two separate anime magazines in Japan, Megami & Dengeki G's, surveyed their readers about who their favorite anime character was. Despite how both magazines cater towards otaku, the readerships for both are still different. Megami's readers are fans of bishoujo anime, while Dengeki focuses on ero-ge (hentai video games).

Despite their differences, one thing remained clear- no matter what kind of otaku they are, all otaku love the girls of K-On. Even while every other girl on the Dengeki list is from a hentai game, a few of the K-On girls still manage to get enough votes to be on the list. You can compare & contrast the two lists below:

Apple's approval process for their iPhone App Store doesn't make any sense. They can disapprove the most ridiculous things (like if they contain a swear word or two), & yet somehow an application known as "Asian Boobs" gets the thumbs up. Not only did it get through their ridiculous system, but it's actually a top seller right now. & it's like Apple hasn't banned cheesecake apps in the past either.

For only $1.99, this app contains thousands of photo galleries of hot Asian models, & while revealing to different degrees there's never any real nudity. It's also updated pretty frequently with new pictures, so you never run out of girls to ogle over. While all East Asian ethnic groups seem to be present & accounted for, Japanese girls seem to dominate the most. Here's the actual description of the app from the publisher:

An upcoming hentai video game in Japan features a character that looks an awful lot like Azusa "Azunyan" Nakano from this past Spring's hit moe series "K-On." A lot like her too, & I doubt it's a coincidence. It's not too surprising that the creators would want a character that resembles her, & this isn't the first time ERO games have made a lookalike of a popular character. After all she's a very popular loli from a very popular series, I'm sure many otaku will be getting this game for the sole purpose of banging Azunyan.

The name of the game, by the way, translates to "The Dance of People from the Future who Don't Know the Proper Method of Child Production," or "Rondo" for short. Don't ask. The character, known as Kana Mutsuki here, doesn't sound too much like her though, as evident from the voice samples on the official website. She's also not a DFC like Azunyan since she has boobs. Small boobs, but boobs nonetheless. But what she DOES have is a nekomimi modo (cat ears mode), just like our favorite young guitar player. Evidence:

It's almost time for America to get A-level hentai games available as legal purchases. Having officially translated ero games available in the US is nothing new, but we've never really gotten any big-name titles. They tend to be low level & cheap titles that you've likely never heard of before. Fortunately thanks to JAST, that's about to change.

JAST announced this past summer that they teamed up with Japanese ero publisher Nitroplus to begin releasing their titles in the US. & since Nitroplus is a big name & release equally big name titles, that means Americans will finally be treated to some A-list titles.

Their first one is none other "Zanma Taisei Demonbane," which was the bases for the "Demonbane" anime series that we had on NebsTV last year. & perhaps best of all, these games will be completely unedited & uncensored, something even the Japanese version of the game can't say (since Japanese standards require to mosaic certain private areas). Pre-orders for the game are available now, with official release just around the corner. You can check out some NSFW (obviously) images from the game here:

In what may be a historic event for fans of hentai & general animated pornography, Playboy Magazine's current issue has its first ever animated Playmate of the Month, who also graces the cover of the issue. That character is Marge Simpson, from the extremely long running "the Simpsons" animated series on FOX. This collector's edition of the November issue is on sale now where magazines are sold.

As much as I'd like to applaud Playboy for making the leap to 2D characters (something you'd usually expect Japan to do, not America), they couldn't come up with a more sexually desirable character than Marge Simpson? Is she considered a MILF or something? Because I certainly never felt any attraction towards her. But apparently this was done to attract a younger audience- guys in their twenties rather than thirties.

I heard before hand that all the artwork of Marge in the issue would be handled tastefully, & that there'd be no actual nudity. & while I guess both those statements are technically true, I'm still shocked by her centerfold picture. You can check out the NSFW images below:

Hahiru Suzumiya is back yet again! Three years ago after the original airing of "the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya," turning-anime-into-liveaction-porn masters TMA milked off its success by creating the AV (adult video) title known as "the Melancholy of Hahiru Suzumiya." The same porn actress then returned a few years later to make a different title known as Hiharu Suzumiya. But now three years after the first, with the second season of Haruhi over & done with, TMA is bringing Hahiru back!

This new version is based off of the first season 2 episode Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody. The trailer for the upcoming AV, seen above (don't worry it's completely safe), is actually a shot-by-shot remake of Kadokawa's official commercial for the episode's DVD release, which you can check out at the bottom of this post. It does seem to follow the anime episode pretty closely, though of course there'll be lots of added sex thrown in as well. So I guess that means there'll be a sex scene between "Kyon" & a 12 year-old Hahiru? Of course the actress wont be actually be 12 or anything, & I doubt they'll ever actually mention the ages of the characters in the movie (all characters are 18+!), but of course the implications will tell a different story. Anyway, here's the original commercial:

Media Factory has uploaded a preview video of the upcoming "Volume 0 DVD" for the second season of Queen's Blade. The DVD itself will likely contain a recap of the first season, a preview of the second, & behind-the-scenes information. So basically, the above trailer should be pretty much the entire DVD itself, just a bit longer.

In addition to that, they've also uploaded a trailer for their upcoming live-action Queen's Blade gravure idol DVD. Unlike most videos of this type (hot girls dressed up in anime outfits & acting all sexy), this is an official DVD- featuring Media Factory's official Queen's Blade model. Yuuri Morishita is dressed up as the evil but hot maid character Airi. & while no actual nudity is visible in the trailer, I'd still label it as NSFW (what with the mysterious goo towards the end & all). Check that out below:

In a time when adult video games are in trouble even in Japan, it seems weird to hear that big-name hentai games are finally being brought over to America. But that's exactly what MangaGamer.com announced at Anime Expo this past weekend. Erotic anime games being licensed, released, & translated in the US are nothing new, but for the most part they've always been low-key obscure games that you've never heard of. Certainly we've never had the likes of KEY games released here. & considering how expensive those must be to license, it might never happen.

Still, MangaGamer.com announced two big adult titles at Anime Expo, news that we're not accustomed to hearing. They are the "Shuffle" romance game & the Higurashi horror series. Specifically, they've got the rights to the first 8 Higurashi games, of which the first half will be released in late October (just in time for Halloween). NAVAL's Shuffle will be released this summer, & more NAVAL games are expected to be announced soon. As with all of MangaGamer.com's titles, these can purchased as downloads on their website.

In somewhat related news, another hentai game American licensing company, JAST USA, announced some big titles of their own. Nitroplus, which is a bigger studio than what JAST usually gets, licensed several of their titles to them. The biggest one here is "Zanma Taisei Demonbane," which is what the Demonbane anime series is based off of (as seen on NebsTV).

Japan's Ethics Organization of Computer Software sent out a fax to game publisher's on June 4th with a list of new rules & regulations regarding rape games & what they can't do anymore. The new regulations are to begin June 5th. Publishers couldn't believe it & were beyond shocked. To make matters worse, the EOCS said to contact them with any questions, but when many publishers did as much, they were greeted with answering machines & secretaries saying that no one was able to talk to them. & this was a day before the new regulations were to begin.

Luckily, the EOCS is aiming for these changes to be gradual, & that only future titles will have to fully abide by these rules starting tomorrow. Any game already released or currently in development should only worry about minor changes. Below is a copy of the regulations that were listed in the fax:

This time, it's for real. Despite Japanese news program TBS making false claims about EOCS banning video games featuring rape, after the Ethics Organization of Computer Software meeting yesterday that they have indeed decided to ban rape eroge (erotic games). About 100 representatives from the biggest hentai video game makers in Japan all gathered to discuss the issue first raised up by the American feminist group Equality Now, & while not all of them felt this was a good idea, not a single person objected to it. Simply put, it was the best answer they could come up with.

Despite this ruling, decisions regarding the exact exact regulations & definitions of what's okay to include in games & what isn't is still to be discussed. For instance, in preparation for this ruling, one upcoming video game originally titled "Gang Raped by the Entire Village ~Girls Covered in Milky Liquid~" has changed its name to "The Trap Set by the Entire Village ~Bodies Covered in Milky Liquid~." The actual content of the game will remain unchanged (unless of course the EOCS sees otherwise), meaning it'll still contain the raping of young girls. In addition to "rape," the word "shoujo" (young girl) also seems to be a taboo word now for erotic games. & thus the world succumbs to even more censorship.

This has been an interesting past couple of days. We actually have to go back a few weeks ago for when the trouble first began. An American group of women called Equality Now found out about a Japanese ERO game titled Rapelay (a conjunction of the words rape play), which is pretty much what it sounds like. The feminists were obviously very upset to find out that Japan actually makes games that focus on raping women, & thus made it their mission to force Japan to ban every single game that features sexual violence towards virtual women.

Jumping now to two days ago, the Japanese news program on TBS (totally unrelated to the American TBS channel, btw) reported that Equality Now's goal worked. Any games that feature the raping of women (about 10%-20% of all games on the Japanese market) would be no longer allowed. All current games were now declared banned. Needless to say, chaos spread like wildfire upon hearing this news. Cries of unfairness were being heard everywhere. Even world famous magician/comedian Penn (of Penn & Teller) made a video on his YouTube page, ranting about his thoughts on how incredibly stupid this decision was (see vid above). Of course rape is wrong, in real life. But something like this goes against freedom of speech. Arguing that video games causes real life violence has been going on for decades already, & anyone with half a brain & can tell you it's not true. If anything, you're only giving the criminals a scapegoat by blaming it on games. Same thing applies here.

But let's not get too far ahead of ourselves, for now it came out that TBS is pretty much the Japanese equivalent of Fox News. Basically, they made the story up. The EOCS (Ethics Organization of Computer Software) is set to meet & make a new ruling for hentai video games on June 2nd, but no such decision has been made yet. TBS had conducted an interview with them shortly after the Rapelay troubles were began, but edited the interview in such a way that they misrepresented misrepresented EOCS's stance. Then this week TBS asked for a second interview, but because of what happened with the first one, EOCS denied them. After that, TBS went ahead & ran this preposterous story without talking to EOCS about it. So no worries, ERO gamers. Your hentai games are safe, at least for now.
