The Nebs Blog had been reporting on an eagles nest on a live webcam stream. Unfortunately in the end, neither egg wound up hatching & the Hornby Island nest videos came to an end. A new webcam feed on a new eagle nest has popped up in its place, so the viewing fun isn't over yet. But if you'd like to know what happened to the original nest, you can read all about it here:

I'm totally hooked on the eagle nest webcam that we told you about earlier. I've been watching it a lot these past few days, eagerly awaiting the hatching of the eggs. True, it seems that the first hatching is overdue. The owner of the cam mistakingly announced a few days ago that the baby chick was starting to poke through, only to realize it was mearly a piece of fuzz. So what's taking so long, then? The owner, Doug Carrick, fears that there might be something wrong with at least one of the eggs. The first egg was due to hatch a few days ago, yet not much has really happened with it. You can read more about what's happening with the nest, as well as the amazing success of the site, in this news article:

Like live streaming webcams? Like, ummm... watching birds hatch eggs? Than you're in luck! A website has put up a streaming feed of a mother eagle laying on her babies' eggs, which are due to hatch sometime between the 26th & 30th of April. With any luck, viewer's will be able to see the actual event as it happens. Of course that depends on both luck & amount of free time you have to watch the feed in order to catch the exact moment.

Nontheless, this is actually surprisingly interesting to watch. Start your online bird-watching adventure now:
