DokiMajo Plus:

Now that E3's over with, let's take a look at some of the exciting gamees that are just coming out or just announced. A big Japan-only one is the third DokiDoki Majo Shinpan game for the DS. This time they look to be expanding upon just touching young girls' bodies, with more gameplay being involved. But don't worry, there's still plenty of touching going on as well. Though compared to the more recent KimokawaE for the DS, DokiMajo now seems very mundane in terms of perverseness.

Below you'll also find videos for the latest Haruhi game for the DS, as well as the brand new Idolmaster for the DS. Yup, Idolmaster is going portable. There's also Evangelion's Misato reading the news, the scary Ju-On (Grudge) based game (for the Wii of all systems), an Astro Boy Movie game shown at E3, & more:

One thing I haven't talked about yet in last week's coverage of E3 was Namco Bandai's showing of a surprisingly large amount of anime-centric games. The Afro Samurai game, which is based off the hit anime starring Samuel L Jackson, was probably their highlight title, as least as far as anime games go. As can be seen from the trailer above, the game looks gorgeous & appears to be tons of fun. Looks pretty similar to their Samurai Champloo game that was releases a couple years back, actually.

Aside from that, they were also showing off Digimon World Championship for the Nintendo DS. The game is said to be the most authentic Digimon game to ever hit the DS. So for those wishing to go back to the old school days when Digimon was nothing more then a virtual pet toy, this is the game you've been waiting for.

Two other titles that they showed off weren't actually anime related, but they sure as hell look like your standard Japanese games. We Cheer is a cheerleading game for the Wii, where you take your remote & thrust it up in the air like a pom-pon. You follow the action on screen, so it's sort of like a cheerleader version of DDR or the Haruhi Wii dancing game that's also in the works. The other title was PowerUp Forever, a downloadable game that'll be available on Xbox Live & PSN. It's basically one of those old-school space shooter games, except it looks all spiffy & shiny.

Oh, there was also Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm on hand. That was definitely a biggie for them, but I already talked about that in a separate post. Still though, can't forget about everyone's favorite orange-clad ninja!

On what is probably my final post covering E3 for this year, I present to you some trailer highlights of what were probably the best & most interesting games shown at E3 this year. Okay, so Speed Racer probably didn't top anyone's "best of" list, but it's very much in the style of this blog, so I thought I'd show that off first. Still looks fun, though. As for the rest, we got tons of videos after the jumps of the games we all want to play the most. Until next year:

A lot of Naruto games for various systems were being shown off at E3 this week. Among the stuff includes "Clash of the Ninja Revolution 2" for the Nintendo Wii, which you can see above, & "Path of the Ninja 2" for the DS, which has its own trailer below. Also shown off at E3 was an alternate version of the "Ultimate Ninja Storm" trailer for the PS3, perhaps the most highly anticipated Naruto game to ever come out. It shows a few new stuff that the original trailer didn't have, enough to wet our appetites for the time being. That too can be seen below:

We've already covered the main three press conferences of E3 this year. You know, the ones that actually have gaming systems out on the market- Microsoft, Nintendo, & Sony. But a lot of other video game publishers held press conferences of their own. & just like the big three, full-length videos of all of them are available online & right here in this post. Check out the rest of them below:

& here's the final of the big 3, Sony, with new stuff for the PS3, the PSP, & even still stuff for the PS2. Pretty cool that they're still supporting that console, but it is still doing better then the PS3 after all. & with them losing their exlusiveness to Final Fantasy XIII to Microsoft, they're going to need some big announcements here to please the Sony fanboys. You can watch the whole press conference in the video above, or just read the highlights below. Included is some anime stuff too:

Just like Microsoft, the entire Nintendo press conference at E3 this year has been posted online & right above this text. Actually, the very beginning of it is missing for some reason. But you can still check out a whole hour of the slightly-over-an-hour event. Plus I've added a clip of the first segment, which is what was mostly absent from the above video, at the bottom of this post. But if you just want the (rather lackluster) highlights of what Nintendo had to offer, read on below:

This is the point where 21st century technology becomes awesome. E3's being held this week, & not only is G4 providing live streams of all the press conferences on their website, but they're keeping up full archived videos of all of them as well. You can even embed them, which is what I did above. So if you you want to watch all 97 minutes of what Microsoft had to offer for the Xbox 360 this year, you got the whole thing at your disposal. Watch it in one chunk, watch it in pieces, watch it whenever it fits YOUR schedule, not when the man says it should be seen! Or if you don't want to watch the whole thing, I'll give you the rundown on what they talked about. Including some amazing Final Fantasy news that really screws Sony over.

Pretty much ever since the DS came out in Japan, the Japanese have been using it for more then just your average gaming tool. Japan was home to more productive DS cartridges, such as learning a foreign language or maps of popular world cities. Well now America is starting to catch up.

Ubisoft has been working on their foreign language Coach games for awhile now, having already released learning games for both French & Spanish. Well now you can officially add Japanese to that list as well, something I'm sure the average American otaku would love to pick up so they can brag about their sugoi Japanese skills to those around them. The official ESRB website added My Japanese Coach to their website, but outside of giving the game an "Everyone" rating, there were no real details about the game itself. Ubisoft is expected to have more details during E3, which takes place next week in Los Angeles, California.

With E3 being over & done with now, I wanted to make this (probably) last post to be about the brand new Mario game coming out for the Nintendo Wii. This game isn't getting as much attention as it deserves. It's a brand-spanking new Mario game, the likes of which we've never seen before. Everyone's busy talking about all the big new games that this one seems to be getting overlooked. The critics have loved it so far, & have been calling it the true successor to Super Mario 64. All I know is I can't wait for this to come out. The innovative new style of co-op play is interesting too, which can be seen put to better practice with this video below:

Who would've thought that Naruto would have one of the best trailers of E3? The folks at Microsoft were so impressed by the upcoming Naruto: Rise of a Ninja game for the Xbox 360 that they decided to show the trailer in its entirety during their press conference. It does look pretty good, considering it's next-gen & all. You can check out more information on it all here:

Among the new games playable at E3 this week were the brand new Digimon World games for the Playstation 2 & Nintendo DS. Data Squad will be coming out on the PS2, while Digimon World: Dawn & Dusk will both be hitting the DS. Plenty of screenshots of all the games can easily be found online, & for a few seconds G4 accidentally showed footage of Data Squad during their E3 coverage when they had meant to show footage of the new Katamari Damacy instead. They hosts were a bit confused & didn't know what they were looking at, though us Digimon fans could recognize Rosemon in an instant. Needless to say, it was quite funny. But if it's pics you want, you can find them here:

At E3, Atari announced that their Wii version of "Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3" will have an online multiplayer mode. Considering no online Wii games have come out yet (though several are on the way), this makes DBZ one of the first Wii games that can be played online when it hits America this November. Players will now be able to fight against other Wii users from around the world via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. The PS2 version of the game will not contain an online mode, but rather will contain a bonus "Fusion Disc System" that will unlock gameplay modes from the previous two Tenkaichi games. So who's planning on taking me on when it comes out?
