The latest craze in Akihabara right now seems to be manga guidebooks that teach you various forms of masturbation. The first one pictured above is "Hitori de Ecchi," a guide that teaches basic & general masturbation for both guys & gals. At 120-pages long, there are plenty of example illustrations to go along with the helpful texts. One of the many examples includes using the edge of a table (thanks, Code Geass). The book is also selling like crazy, both in Akihabara stores & online at Amazon.

Another manga guidebook that came out at the same time translates to "I can do it Myself ~Beginners Guide to Ananie for Guys~." What's Ananie, you ask? It combines "onanie" (the German word for masturbation, which the Japanese also use) & "anal." Yes, this is a book that teaches all about anal masturbation. Even though that looks like a girl on the cover, I can assure you that it is a trap. This one also includes tons of illustrated examples alongside detailed texts, & it's also selling out like mad. To give you a sense of what it's about, here's a list of the chapters:

Comic Gum magazine, the manga rag that has been running the IkkiTousen manga for the past nine years, has revealed in its January 2010 issue that a brand new IkkiTousen anime series will be airing Japan in April. Titled "IkkiTousen: Xtreme Xecutor," this will be the fourth season of the ecchi fighting series & the third that continues the tradition of using double letters for the sequel subtitle, after 2007's Dragon Destiny & 2008's Great Guardians. The "XX" title also shows a connection to the recently announced new PSP game Xross Impact, which will take place in between seasons 3 & 4. Guess we should have figured something was up when a new IkkTousen game was announced out of the blue like that.

Xtreme Xecutor will introduce the character Bachou Mouki for the first time in the anime series, who will be voiced by Aya Endo (Miyuki in Lucky Star, Sheryl in Macross Frontier, Yuuki in Kanamemo). In addition, several brand new anime-exclusive characters will also be introduced in the new season. Last season's Great Guardians introduced Sonken Chuubou, another anime-exclusive character not seen in the manga but played a big part in the season which hardly used any material from the manga. It's unknown if she'll return for season four, which returns to adapting the manga storyline.

While the season wont be premiering until Spring, a special "Volume 0 Mochiron Misechau Mushūsei Da yo!" preview DVD will go on sale on January 22, 2010.

The second season of "Hayate the Combat Butler" may be over, but two brand new dakimakura (body pillowcases) have just been announced for the series. They feature two of the main girls from the series, & sorry, but Hinagiku isn't one of them this time around. No, they are of the lead female Nagi (who's both a tsundere & a loli), & her loyal maid & friend Maria.

These two cases are pretty surprising & quite revealing for a series like Hayate, similar to how I was surprised at the cases for Tower of Druaga from last year. Hayate has always been so wishy-washy in how it goes about its fan-service, especially in season one. Sometimes it felt restrained & really restricted, other times it felt a lot more relaxed & showed off some skin. It never went too far though, even at its extremes the series mostly stayed work-safe. Though my brief experience with the manga suggests that Nagi is drawn more sexualized there than in the anime, something that might freak out non-lolicon.

As for the dakimakura themselves, Maria is dressed in the school uniform on one side (a treat for some as Maria doesn't go to school) with glasses to boot, & a somewhat revealing maid outfit on the other side. Not being a Maria fan, her's doesn't really do much for me. The real surprise here is Nagi. She's wearing a very sexy looking maids outfit on one side (no panties to boot) & a fetishy sukumizu on the other- with white stockings. Yowza. Nagi has always been one of my favorites in the series, but never one I was sexually attracted to because of her young age (or at the very least, I fought off any sexual attraction I felt towards her). But these irresistible dakimakura of her are pretty hard to ignore.

They do come at a heavy price though. Each one comes in two versions, one made of "cheaper" fabric & the other made of higher quality fabric. The "cheap" ones will both retail for 8400 yen (~$95), while the finer ones will go for 9450 yen (~$106). Both Nagi & Maria are due out in January. Also as a side note, the yen to dollar ratio just keeps getting worse & worse. Sigh.

The latest K-On Blu-ray release featured the debut of the series' beloved nekomimi loli Azunyan. It also featured the second beach episode, with all the girls, including Azunyan, sporting attractive swimsuits & even "baring all" in the bath house. Of course this scene was heavily covered with magical steam in the televised version. But for the Blu-ray release, some of that steam was removed & we got to see the scene in high-definition glory. Behold the stunning difference:

Gainax has come out with some official Neon Genesis Evangelion dakimakura (character body pillows) for fans of the EVA girls to fall asleep with. Based upon the new Rebuild of Evangelion movie series, there's one dakimakura each for Rei, Asuka, & even Rebuild-exclusive newcomer Mari. Each one shows the girls in their attractive skintight plugsuites, though while Mari gets her nicer looking pink plugsuite instead of her garish green one from earlier in the film, Asuka is left in her classic red plugsuite instead of the much more revealing test suite seen in latter half of the second film. Oh well, it still looks good on her.

Due out in Japan in March, the unfortunate news is that they retail for 10,500 yen (~$115) each. So if you want to sleep with all three girls, that'll run you a whopping 31,500 yen. However, I do believe that each of them are not just mere dakimakura covers (as is usually the case), but actually are already pre-stuffed with a full-length body pillow. That helps redeem the price tag a little. You also gotta get a kick out of the description for these items:

It seems that the ecchi pseudo-incest manga "Kiss x Sis" (pseudo because the sisters aren't blood related to their young brother who they want to get with, though that one chapter where the sisters make out with each other kinda cancels out the pseudo remark) will be getting a full anime series adaptation in the coming Spring season. The series has already had two OVAs released with a third coming out later this month, but considering each OVA only covers one chapter of the manga & that they come out about every six months or so, it's taking forever for the OVAs to tell the story. But now with a proper anime adaptation, things should move along much more quickly now.

The good thing about doing the anime through OVAs was that the story didn't have to worry about censorship. You gotta wonder what the chances are for a TV adaptation of "Kiss x Sis" to go through unscathed. There's so much adult & risque content going on in the story it's not even funny. Despite that though, never once has a girl's nipple ever been clearly shown in the manga. Which is really odd considering all that goes on (the latest chapter basically had a girl character masturbating the entire chapter), & yet nipples are a no-go. Since that's the case, maybe it can survive TV censorship without too much trouble. At the very least we should hope that AT-X airs the series, since they air nearly everything uncensored. This includes Ditama Bow's (the manga-ka for KxS) other popular ecchi series, Juden-Chan.

With the hit sequel "Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu- Purezza" currently airing in Japan & on Crunchyroll, it only makes sense to release new figures of the series' attractive otaku star, Haruka. The first for the second season is this sexy lingerie version of Haruka. Kinda figures they'd release one of her in such a revealing outfit, considering how much more fan-servicey season two is compared to season one.

While this figure is unarguably sexy, it's done by figure maker Alphamax, a company I've never really liked. Most of their figures just aren't very good in my opinion, particularly in the facial department. The main complaint I have about Haruka here though is her coloring. Her hair color especially doesn't look quite right. That being said, it's still a tempting buy. But then when you see the figure retails for 13,800 yen (~$145), & that pretty much kills any hopes of me ordering her. Haruka's revealing outfit just isn't enough to sell me this expensive item. But if you're willing to go for it, you can import her right here:

RightStuf is having a limited special right now, where if you pre-order Part 1 of Linebarrels of Iron on DVD you'll get a free oppai mousepad of one of the girls from the series. That's right, no longer is importing one from Japan you're only option of getting a mousepad with 3D boobs as a wrist rest. FUNimation & RightStuf are teaming up to get you this official US-sanctioned goody! But hurry, it's only while supplies last! The DVD officially goes on sale on January 19.

(UPDATE: Turns out that it's not an oppai mousepad, but rather just a regular flat mousepad with just art of an anime chick on it. What the heck's up with that? Just look at the thing, it's so obvious it was meant to be oppai. Looks like Funi chickened out on this one.)

& while we're talking about Linebarrels available in the US, FUNimation has officially announced the cast list for their English dub of the series (featuring the awesome Tiffany Grant in her first ever lead FUNimation role). Check out the leads below:

The extremely popular Love Plus moe dating game for the Nintendo DS seems to be causing trouble between some gamers & their IRL loved ones. Most recently & severely, it almost caused one couple to get divorced. While cleaning the house, one Japanese housewife noticed the blinking light of a DS coming from her husband's bag. When she opened it, she was shocked to find out the type of game her spouse was playing. She likened the game to her husband having an affair, since he technically was "seeing" other women in the game.

When confronted about it, the husband was forced to explain the game to her, including how it involves him dating & doing ecchi things with high school aged girls. The wife kept the game & the DS after this, & got her friends together so they could play the game to get to the bottom of it all. At first they admitted it seemed pretty harmless, but then one character showed up & everyone agreed she was a true threat to their marriage.

After this, the husband was forced to sell "Love Plus" & even his DS. His wife kept all the money. He was then forced to pay for a special New Years vacation to make up for it all. Three of the wife's friends discovered their husbands also owned the game, & had to suffer similar consequences.

It is said that "Love Plus" fans are among those most likely to buy the new Nintendo DSi LL, since its larger screen allows for more kissing room.

Subscribing to Megami & Nyantype magazine gives me more anime posters in a single month than I know what to do with. While I can plaster room after room with the near infinite amount of posters I've collected over the years, there's still one place these paper sheets cannot tread- the bathroom shower.

Fortunately, leave it to Japan to create a new technology which solves even that problem. Okay, it's not really that revolutionary to cover a poster with protective plastic to protect it from water, or "water". In fact not too long ago I saw a "Strike Witches" shower poster for sale (*cough*). But this particular shower poster, featuring the character Izumi from the upcoming ero-ge "Sekirara," does have a unique feature to it that seperates it from other wannabe shower posters on the market. Running hot water over the poster makes Izumi's bathing suit disappear. Somewhat NSFW result picture:

Having not been familiar with the Sacred Blacksmith manga, I had no idea going into it that it would be a fan-service series. Granted the fan-service present in the first few episodes haven't been that explicit, but it was still more than I was expecting. Imagine my surprise to learn that the DVD version of the series will have even more, including fully exposed bare-breasts where none existed in the televised version.

When word of this broke out, preorders of the first DVD skyrocketed. The Blu-ray version in particular rose from 1113th place on Amazon Japan to 234th within the span of four hours. Who knew otaku liked fan-service? It's actually kinda weird. I really didn't think Sacred Blacksmith would be the kind of anime to show such things, but there you go. This does become more apparent if you are familiar with the manga, however, which apparently does contain some nudity:

Following the success of the previous IkkiTousen game in Japan, a brand new clothes-shredding fighting adventure will be coming to the PSP next year. Titled "IkkiTousen: Xross Impact," the latest game is actually a continuation of the third & most recent anime series "IkkiTousen: Great Guardians" & takes place directly after the end of the series.

"Xross Impact" will contain 6 new characters in the game to play as, one of which is a totally new & original character to the IkkiTousen universe. & of course, the girls will have the same great costume destruction with their clothes being shredded up more & more as they take battle damage. This is what the title is known for, after all. Release date (Japan only of course) is set for April 1, 2010. & no, this isn't an April Fools joke.

The first animated trailer for this Winter's Seikon no Qwaser mature anime series has been released online. Based on the near-adult manga of the same name, the anime (at least in its true unedited form) will contain heavy amounts of female nudity, as the theme of the story is warriors gathering strength by sucking on breast milk.

At this point we don't know if the series will air unedited or not this Winter or if only the DVDs will bare all. We can at least hope that AT-X will air the series, as they air almost everything uncensored when others don't (most recently Queen's Blade & Juden-chan). But we do know that an uncensored version does indeed exist, as one version of the new trailer demonstrates. Don't fear, the trailer embedded above is "safe." Or at least compared to the full version, but the above one does have plenty of pantie shots & camel-toes. If you wanna see what the full version of the trailer offers, you can see the NSFW pictures below:

This issue is also notable for having an exclusive Strike Witches manga chapter in it, as well as a few other SW tidbits as well. There was no giant pullout poster this issue. Instead, we got this:
