Continuing our discussion of the newly released Windows 7 & how it's being viewed in Japan, we have here a clip from a Japanese TV show demonstrating the operating system's brand new touch-screen interface. Unfortunately the guy can't seem to get it to work. Even after restarting the computer twice, the crew is still unable to get it to work. Too bad they decided to demonstrate it on live TV.

& while we're on the topic of Windows 7 videos, we now have a vid of the Windows 7 Whopper in action! The guys from CheapAssGamer visited a local Burger King in Japan in an attempt to take on the formidable burger. To see if they succeeded, or if you just wanna see what the sandwich looks like in a live video, check it out below:

Today was a big day for PC users, as Microsoft finally released their brand new operating system Windows 7. The new system makes Windows more secure, powerful, quicker, fun, very shiny & pretty looking. Stores began selling the new software today, as well as brand new computers with Windows 7 built in. Those who ordered a digital copy of software were able to download & install it at the stroke of midnight even (like myself). Overall, while not too different from Vista in the looks department, it's still one nice OS to play with.

But leave it to Japan to really know how to celebrate the new operating system. As of today, for a limited time only, Burger Kings in Japan began selling the Windows 7 Whopper. What makes it special, you ask? Try SEVEN burger patties lying between the buns. Weighing in at 1.7 pounds (or about seven Quarterpounders with Cheese), this monster contains 2120 calories. The first 30 people who order the burger (what?) will pay only 777 yen (~$8.50) for their clogged arteries & heart attack. After that, it'll cost a "whopping" 1450 yen (~$16). So is this the best, or worse thing ever?

You may remember in last week's episode of Yakitate Japan on NebsTV that there was instructions on how to make your own Ja-Pan bread right at home in a rice-cooker. & since I so happen to have a rice-cooker, I decided to try it out myself! I'm not much of a baker & I had a few complications, but the end product turned out quite delicious! It was really soft in the center & tasted pretty sweet! I know most Americans & other westerners don't have a rice-cooker in their household, but if you do you can make your own Yakitate Ja-Pan #2! A few more pics can be seen below:

Now that Yakitate Japan is part of the NebsTV family, we can start covering related news bits about it. & NebsTV isn't the only place where the series has started airing, as today was the series premier of Y!JP in Singapore. To celebrate this amazing series coming to a new country, a bakery chain in Singapore called Breadtalk has been running a promotion for it throughout the month of November. When you go to the store you can buy bread inspired by the series.

Whether or not it was made by a boy with Solar Hands that can give you amazing food-gasms, I don't know. But it sure does look good. For those of you who're just starting the series on Nebs TV, you should be aware that after every episode of amazing bread baking, you'll want to go out afterwards & buy some bread to eat. So this promotion ties in quite nicely. So far Singapore is the first & only country in the world to broadcast the series in English. Hopefully one day it'll come to American TV, but until then at least you got us.

NEW YORK -- In a gut-busting showdown that combined drama, daring and indigestion, Joey Chestnut emerged Wednesday as the world's hot dog eating champion, knocking off six-time winner Takeru Kobayashi in a record-setting yet repulsive triumph.

While covering the Tokyo Game Show, G4 decided to take a bunch of pictures. This includes a gallery for just Japanese vending machines. More than just food & soda, but also of ecchi anime figures too. =b Check them out here:

A month ago the Nebs Blog posted some videos on the interesting effects of mixing soda with Mentos (yes, the freshmaker). Well we found these 2 "scientists" that decided to take it to the next level. Check out their experiments in this video below:

Just thought this was weird. The Japanese have a variety of unusual ice cream flavors. Take a look at a few of them that Mainichi Daily News have gathered on their website (& btw, ever since I learned Japanese typing stuff like "Mainichi Daily" just seems awkward):

Supposedly this is the world's most unhealthiest burger. You take a Krispy Kreme classic glazed donut, cut it in half, grill it, & use it like a bun for your burger. Add cheese & bacon, & you got yourself the ultimate treate. I haven't tried it for myself, but it's supposed to be surprisingly delicious. & since the sports team that sells it is right here in my home state of Illinois, I just might pay the place of visit. Sure, it's a heart attack waiting to happen. But you only live once. =b
