A second trailer for the upcoming huge Yu-Gi-Oh 10th Anniversary cross-over movie has been leaked online. This new trailer gives us a much better idea of what the 3D film will be like, & includes lots of new footage & information about the feature. It's just so freaking cool to see Yugi, Judai, & Yusei all teaming up. Although Judai's Yubel eyes seem a bit off compared to how they look from the TV series.
Another version of this new trailer can be seen below, & after that you can check out LittleKuriboh's Abridged version of the trailer:
It's been over a year & a half since the last time Marik brought together his Evil Council of Doom. Well to be fair he tried to get them together for Christmas last year, though that didn't work out too well. But now the old gang is back again... & then some!... minus a few of the old ones. & this time, they're in Detroit, Michigan! Somehow that just seems more fitting.
New members this time around include the Steve Mooninites & famous anime voice actor Dan Green! Yes, you read that right. Dan Green. & boy is he given the most evil of missions to accomplish. Yugi wont know what hit him this time.
Dartz's Abridged character was given a makeover this time around compared to his past few appearances. He's now yet another character based on Adult Swim's "Perfect Hair Forever" anime spoof (in addition to part of Marik's character). Also, he's now voiced by Takahata 101 from TeamFourStar! LittleKuriboh has been quite busy since debuting his double episodes at Youmacon earlier this month. Not with making new Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged episodes, but by doing a bunch of other small fun projects & pieces. Not the least of which is the third episode of his hilarious Naruto Abridged Parody series- now with David Bowie! The humor in this series is quite different from Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged, but in some ways it's even funnier that way. You can check out the other fun little vids LK has been putting out these past few weeks below:
Who knew Tristan had such an angelic singing voice? Probably because he's black in this episode & was born with soul. Odion will surely be okay now that the gang has that & the power of friendship! Except for the fact that Melvin keeps trying to kill him with his Millennium Lightsaber. Although his hugs seem a lot more dangerous. & in the second episode, Ishizu doesn't just break the fourth wall. She completely shatters it into a million pieces. She also puts Kaiba in a very tough predicament. His only way out of it now is to kick her in the nads.
Arise, Chicken, arise!
That wasn't the only Aqua Teen Hunger Force reference this time around. The Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past from the Future plays a pretty big role in the second episode, explaining to Kaiba the vague details of his ancient past. Hopefully you've all seen ATHF to really appreciate this bit. LittleKuriboh is no less than amazing as he portrays the Cybernetic Ghost (both in voice & dialogue) perfectly as if the Aque Teen staff worked on it themselves. Bonus points for using actual footage from the Millennium World saga.
Tristan with giant breasts might be the scariest thing ever.
What was truly notable about these two episodes was that LittleKuriboh really started to use background music to a great extent for the first time. Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged has gone 42 episodes with little to no BGM, & the few times it did play was as part of a joke or something. But this time LK added some really nice BGM for no other purpose then to make the scenes feel more intense or cinematic. Very nice touch. More below:
Fans of "Strike Witches" who have been feeling withdrawal seasons while waiting for Gonzo to make season 2 can take comfort in the most recent episode of "Seitokai no Ichizon." The comedy anime series did an exact shot-for-shot remake of a scene of the loli fan-service anime, with Kurimu dressed up as Yoshika. They even got the sukumizu rear-end shot down to a tee. You can check out the episode now on NebsTV:
For the second time in the past week, a Yu-Gi-Oh MAD based on the To Love-ru anime opening has been found online. Coincidence, or something else? At any rate, it's fun to see what Yu-Gi-Oh would be like if it were an ecchi harem series. Lord knows it's had plenty of attractive girls over its 10 year run. Which YGO girl would you choose if they were all chasing after you?
It's also interesting to see the similarities between the two vids, despite being obviously done by different artists. You can check out the newer one above, & you can see the older one again (as well as the original To Love-ru opening) below:
Episode 42 - So Long & Thanks For All The Trading Cards
Despite Yami's message at the beginning of this episode, you probably don't want to miss this episode. At nearly 11 minutes in length, this is longest Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged episode yet. But since it contains one of the most important moments of the entire saga- the awakening of true evil- the extra time is well worth it. Be prepared for lots of back story, funny accents, bad 4Kids dialogue, Binky Boys, the obligatory Death Note reference, & the first television appearance of Mega Ultra Chicken!
LittleKuriboh first introduced us to Yami Marik & his unique personality way back during the first Abridged Christmas special, despite the fact that regular Marik hadn't even been introduced in the series yet. & even though that sneak peak of him was some time ago (nearly three years!), it's good to see his character remains very much the same as he was during that brief glimpse. Binky Boy!
It's awhile since the last big upload from LK, but he has released a few smaller works in the meanwhile. Check those out below:
In case you haven't heard yet, TeamFourStar is back on YouTube after having been taken down by Toei. They got a brand new channel up, & are trying to float under Toei's radar. I mean if FUNimation is allowing TFS to keep uploading, it's only fair for Toei to do so as well. No new episodes yet, or even official reuploads of season one. Just the following message for now:
A year after the last party comes the Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged Series Third Anniversary Spectacularmathon! All your old favorites plus smaller characters you thought you'd never see again return to celebrate three years of Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged goodness! Even Johnny Yong Bosch & Lanipator return from last year's event! Hopefully this time it wont make for the beginnings of a second War of the Abridged Series Creators.
Congratulations on three years of creating something truly amazing & revolutionary, LittleKuriboh! Bonus YGOTAS vid after the jump:
I'm not sure how easy it is to spot, but the "worst that could happen" left Joey with a black eye throughout the rest of the episode. It's easy to overlook, but it's a pretty funny edit.
A lot of old favorites return in this episode- Pegasus, Zack & Cody, & of course Borat Shadi. Can you believe it's been over two years since his last appearance? While I'm sure Shadi's reappearance was highly anticipated among many Abridged fans, it's Tristan & Duke that really steal the show in this episode. While in the actual series they were rescued shortly after falling off the side of the blimp, LittleKuriboh keeps them hanging for their lives throughout most of the episode. "In another few hours, the sun will come up!"
RIP, Chad from accounting.
Another Abridged Season 3 plot hint at the end? Hmmm....
Yu-Gi-Oh the Abridged Series is back! & yes, we're now dueling on a blimp. Or space, as Tristan prefers it. Bakura is able to summon ghosts to do his fighting in this episode, including one super special awesome cameo! Yugi doesn't stand a ghost of a chance!
Technically season 5 has four Bakuras in it, doesn't it? Ryo, Yami, Thief King, & Parasite. That makes it even more confusing! & they never did explain how Bakura got his Ring back after Tristan threw it away! That's what happens when you mess with the manga's story.
I think this ep pretty much confirms that the Big 5 will be 4Kids in the Abridged universe, which is weird since they weren't that in their original appearances. But whatevs, looks like LK is setting up some good stuff for season 3.
Here it is! The epic 3-part season 1 finale to DragonBall Z Abridged! Yup, the Goku vs Vegeta fight deserves that much time & attention. Now that Nappa's dead, Vegeta sets his sights on the few remaining Z Warriors. Vegeta may be strong, but he didn't expect Goku's Kaio-Ken technique to pack quite the punch. But then Vegeta releases his giant monkey... form! Luckily Goku discovers his weakspot- his eye. But when things look the darkest, leave it to the greatest Z Warrior of them all to save the day... Yajirobe! Special guest appearances by Kirk & Spock from the new Star Trek film! Also, amazing ending theme song.

Do you know how long it's actually been since the last episode of DBZ Abridged? It was even before DragonBall Evolution debuted in theaters. Thus making ep 10 the first episode since then, & the TeamFourStar guys do make a brief reference to it. This is also the first episode since the Japanese debut of DragonBall Kai, though there's not really any reference to that.
There are tons of terrific lines in these 3 parts, too many to pick a favorite. I also really enjoy the respect that the TeamFourStar guys show towards the original material while abridging the series. Watching this three-parter shows that in addition to spoofing the series, they're still staying true to the awesome action & story that made DBZ the legend it is. I love Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged & all the others out there, but they simply make fun of the series without really being truthful to the original story. DBZ Abridged is funny as hell AND they still you feel like your watching the actual series. It's very well developed. The other two parts, as well as a few bonus goodies, below:
As previously stated, LittleKuriboh is taking a break from making new episodes. So what's he been doing during his time away from making videos? Why, making videos of course!
In addition to uploading all the old YGO Abridged episodes back onto YouTube, LK has made a few new random videos in his time off as well. Most notably he's made another music video, which you can check out above. This one's a little intense on the language though, so consider it NSFW. They're on a blimp! More crazy randomness in current pop-culture format below:
An episode with no card games?! Noooo, how can that be?! So Marik learns the secret to Odion's blandness in order fool Yugi & his friends, who all seem to be even more gullible than usual. It's what Tristan must feel like all the time. Speaking of, it turns out his best friends are Zack & Cody. Talk about living the suite life!
& then they all get on a blimp, along with Kaiba's two Nazi security agents. They don't shout "Attention duelists!" or saying things about their hair. Instead they say "Hail Kaiba!" & refer to him as their fuhrer. Yeah, that can't be good.
LittleKuriboh said that he's taking a break from making new episodes for awhile now that he finally got them all on that damn blimp. Considering we've pretty much have had a new video every week for the past few months, I'd say it's a break well deserved. Expect new Abridged episodes to resume next month! Check out his taking a break vid below:
LittleKuriboh sure does know how to start trouble amongst the Abridged community. He does it all in good humor, & most of the other Abridgers out there know how to take a joke, but LK seems to enjoy creating ANIMOSITY with his videos at times. He did start the War of the Abridged Series Creators, after all. & even though the last great Abridged War kind of sizzled out in the end, LK is starting trouble all over again. But this time, he's doing it with rap! Parodying Eminem's "Without Me" song, LK has created an amazingly hilarious & genius music video. Though not without taking a few jabs at the other Abridgers (as well as himself, to be fair). Check out a few of their responses to the rap song below, & let the second great war begin:
