The first of the three web-exclusive episodes of Bakemonogatari was orginally supposed to go online today. However, the official website for the series announced earlier this week that the episode will be delayed by five days. The 13th episode, titled "Tsubasa Cat- Part 3," will now stream for free on November 2 instead.

Production delays have been named for the cause of the delay. While I am a bit peeved to wait a little while longer on this, I much prefer for SHAFT to give us a finished work that they were proud of rather than a rush job (*cough*episode10*cough*). So if waiting a few more days gives us a better episode then I'm all for it. So tune in to the official site on November 2nd to see the RAW episode for free, or tune in to NebsTV a few days shortly after that for the subbed version!

It appears the Japanese websites that stream "Princess Lover" after the episodes air on TV received a wrong copy of the latest episode. More specifically, they got the fully uncensored version that's only meant to be on the DVD & Blu-ray version of the series. After a few hours once the mistake was realized, the problem was resolved & the proper censored version is now streaming on the sites. Until now it wasn't actually known if the DVD version would contain nudity or other changed content, though just as much was guessed to be the case. But now thanks to this switcheroo, we finally know what to expect from the DVD versions. & boy should they sell like hotcakes.

In addition to all the nudity in the actual episode being fully shown, it seems the ending credits themselves are also different depending on if you're watching the TV or DVD version. In the TV version, the four main girls are showcased in their usual outfits for the most part, but at the end their clothes fade away to reveal their sexy swimsuites. In the uncensored DVD version on the other hand, the girls are already in their swimsuits from the beginning, & the final part is changed so that their swimsuits fade away to leave them completely topless & exposed. Quite an interesting change.

One thing that I found odd was that one raunchy masturbation scene was left completely in tact even in the censored version. What's up with that? Not that I'm complaing mind you, as censorship is bad. Just weird to leave that in. You can catch both the edited & uncensored versions on NebsTV right now.

With Canvas & Canvas2 now over & done with on NebsTV, some of you may be wondering "what next?" As you might have already known, the two Canvas anime were based on two ERO video games in Japan. But actually, there have been three Canvas games released (thus far). Canvas3 may not have been adapted into an anime like the other two, but there is a manga for it out there.

Canvas3 is a title currently running in the pages of Champion Red magazine in Japan. As I've mentioned before, Champion Red prides itself in pushing its fan-service as far to the limits as possible. They'll put unbelievable things in their manga stories, but make sure it falls just shy of earning an "adults only" logo on it. Many wonder how the things in each issue haven't earned it already. Notorious manga in the magazine include Seikon no Qwaser, YomeIro Choice, & AkiSora. As you can imagine, Canvas3 falls in line with these titles. So it's not as reserved as Canvas2 was, but if you're in the mood for more Canvas & don't mind the high ecchi levels, then Canvas3 might just be for you. Some sample scans below (NSFW!):

Just as expected, the first of 14 new episodes of "the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" aired yesterday in Japan! No opening was used for this episode (perhaps they're saving that for the next new episode), but there was a brand new ending theme called "Tomare!" sung by the seiyuu of Haruhi, Mikuru, & Nagato. Check it out above! As for seeing the episode itself, well, Kadokawa will most likely be adding it to their YouTube page next week like they've been doing all season long. However, since none of the eps so far have been subtitled in English, this episode probably wont be either (but who knows, they do just that for the season 2 episodes after all). But don't fret, for I'll have a subbed version up on NebsTV tomorrow. ^_~

The only downside is that we'll have to wait another month for the next new episode to air. Since this broadcast is following the books in chronological order this time around, & we've seen the next few stories already animated in season one, it'll be about four weeks before we see another new episode. But it should be a good amount of new eps in a row to boot. But at least we have episode 8 to tide us over in the meantime.

Kadokawa also just announced that Haruhi will be getting a new expanded DVD release beginning August 28. This will most likely have the show in chronological order again, but with the new season 2 episodes mixed in appropriately with the season 1 episodes. No official word yet on how Kadokawa or Bandai Entertainment would plan to release the new episodes in America, assuming they get licensed.
